Mr. Wase is the founding partner of Wase & Wase established in 1992. He is also a professional mediator and arbitrator handling disputes for the U.S. Postal Service, Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (National Association of Security Dealers and New York Stock Exchange), and Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas, among others. He also handles private commercial mediations and has served as a custody mediator for the Philadelphia Family Court.

Prior to opening his law practice, Mr. Wase spent over 20 years as a management consultant for the international firm of Coopers & Lybrand resolving management disputes, facilitating client’s decision-making processes, and developing solutions to complex management problems. Engagements also included capital project financing for the Health Care industry totaling over $400,000,000, and operational and financial evaluation of proposed mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Wase serves on the Executive Committee and also the Orphans’ Court Rules and Practice Committee of the Probate and Trust Law Section of the Philadelphia Bar Association. He is a past chair of the section’s Elder Law Committee.

Mr. Wase has lectured for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute, the Philadelphia Bar Association and community associations concerned with the legal problems related to incapacity and aging. Mr. Wase is a Board member and Co-Chair of the Ethics Committee of the Philadelphia Estate Planning Council. He is a Board member and past Treasurer of the Alzheimer’s Association, Delaware Valley Chapter. He is a past president of Fellowship Farm, an organization committed to the reduction of prejudice in our society through increased understanding.

Ms. Wase concentrates her practice in the areas of estate planning with an emphasis on planning for the elderly and disabled, health law, guardianship, estate administration and Veterans’ Benefits planning. She is a member of the Pennsylvania and Philadelphia County Bar Associations. Ms. Wase is a past Chair of the Elder Law Section of the Pennsylvania Bar Association and is currently a member of the Elder Law Section Council. She is also a member of the PA Association of Elder Law Attorneys, The National Association of Elder Law Attorneys and the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section of the Pennsylvania Bar Association. Ms. Wase is licensed to practice law in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Ms. Wase has lectured for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute and community and professional associations concerned with legal problems related to incapacity and aging. She was named as one of Pennsylvania’s Super Lawyers 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011 for Elder Law. Ms. Wase received her JD from Temple University School of Law and also holds a master’s degree in Education from Temple University. Prior to practicing law, Ms. Wase had a significant career as an educator.


Bradley Newman, Esq.

Mr. Newman is licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. He concentrates his practice in the areas of estate planning with an emphasis on planning for the elderly and disabled, guardianships, Special Needs Trusts, estate administration, and Orphans’ Court litigation. He is a 1997 graduate of Pennsylvania State University, Dickinson School of Law and received his undergraduate degree from Temple University.

He is a member of the Philadelphia Bar Association, Pennsylvania Bar Association, Camden County Bar Association and New Jersey Bar Association as well as a member of the Elder Law Committee of the Philadelphia Bar Association and the Elder & Disability Law Section of the New Jersey Bar Association. He is a panel attorney for the Senior Law Center and volunteers as a speaker for the Alzheimer’s Association. He provides lectures at civic and religious groups concerning legal issues affecting the elderly and their families. He is married to Tracy Newman, a Special Education Teacher, and they have a lovely daughter named Whitney.

Ms. Kobrin is an attorney licensed to practice law in South Africa. She received her Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws degrees from the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa in 1981 and 1985 respectively. Ms. Kobrin also has a master’s degree in Corporate Law and Finance from Widener University School of Law. Ms. Kobrin focuses her time in the areas of estate planning, guardianships, estate and trust administration and healthcare financing. Prior to her employment at Wase & Wase, Ms. Kobrin was a volunteer at the Support Center for Child Advocates in Philadelphia serving the needs of abused and neglected children.

Ms. Kobrin also volunteered at the Women Against Abuse Legal Center and the Disabilities Law Project in Philadelphia. She is a member of the Philadelphia Estate Planning Council. Ms. Kobrin is also a member of Hands Creating Change, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing financial, emotional and volunteer support for social and economic causes.

Cheree Nowlin Birch

Ms. Birch is the office manager at Wase & Wase. She attended Lexington High School in Lexington, Virginia and Howard University, Washington, D.C. Ms. Birch was employed as a Collateral Technician by PNB Bank (now Wells Fargo) for nine years. In 1999, Ms. Birch began her career in legal administration. She received her paralegal certification from Pennsylvania State University in 2003.
